In 2000, Nina was the youngest person ever to complete a charity bike ride for Multiple Sclerosis from New York to Vermont.  In college at the University of Vermont she spent time as a student athletic trainer and taught an exercise class for people with neurological disorders.  Since graduating, Nina has interned as a strength and conditioning specialist, at a physical therapy clinic, and participated in the Half Marathon Triple Crown and ran the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon twice.

Nina understands first-hand training and even ran the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in San Francisco while pregnant—6 months to be exact!

After working for others in the corporate gym setting, Scott co-founded BodyFit San Diego. Aside from a thorough background in training, and over 16 years of training clients, Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics and has completed an extremely competitive dietetic internship through Iowa State University.

Growing up, Scott was an avid hockey player.  He was a member of the 1999 Vermont State Championship team and played in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League.  Due to a shoulder injury Scott was unable to play varsity college hockey, so he helped found the University of Vermont club hockey team.  In addition to hockey, Scott was also a member of his high school varsity lacrosse and baseball teams.

Since relocating to San Diego, Scott has taken up running and has participated in a variety of races including the Half Marathon Triple Crown, the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon (multiple times), and recently started participating in triathlons. Scott is also the strength and conditioning coach for the UTC figure skating team.  He is a member of the American Dietetic Association.

These days, Scott is channeling his love of hockey into watching and training his boys, Austin and Dylan.
